Rancho San Rafael off-leash area rules (Please refer to the map at the bottom of this page for pet-permitted areas.)
HANDLERS ARE LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DOGS AND ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES CAUSED BY THEIR DOGS.
- DOGS MUST BE LEASHED WHILE GOING TO AND FROM THE PASTURE AREA.
A PHYSICAL LEASH, CHAIN, OR ROPE IS REQUIRED.
ELECTRONIC COLLARS AND VOICE CONTROL ARE NOT CONSIDERED LEASHES.
- Handlers are required by law (W.C. Chapter 55) to clean up after their dog(s).
- Professional dog trainers may not use this facility for the conduct of their business.
- Aggressive or vicious dogs are not permitted in this area. Dogs must be leashed and removed at the first sign of aggression or rough play.
- Dogs must be under voice control at all times and stay within the fences.
- Any dog harassing wildlife must be leashed and removed from the area immediately.
- Female dogs in heat are not permitted in this area.
- Dogs younger than 4 months are not permitted in the area. (They don't have all their shots yet.)
- One handler cannot have more than 3 dogs.
- All dogs must have current shots and licenses.
- Small children and infants must be kept under strict supervision.
- If a Special Event is scheduled in this area, the area my be closed to public access.
